Medical Office Assistant Full Time Location: Blair County

Position Overview Assists in the provision of comprehensive health care as a member of a team of health care professionals. This individual functions in all areas of the office setting which may include both clinical and front desk duties.

Location and Hours of Position Altoona Behavioral Health 620 Howard Ave Altoona, PA 16601

The general office hours for this position are: Monday: 8:00am - 4:30pm Tuesday: 8:00am - 7:00pm Wednesday: 8:00am - 4:30pm Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm NO WEEKENDS

Compensation Position starts at $17.00 MA per hour or $20.00 LPN however PHN recognizes experience, education, and site location when determining wage.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school
  • Medical Office Assistant or LPN - and/or two years experience in a clinical setting
  • Infection Control and strong clinical knowledge
  • Administering Medication
  • Previous venipuncture and injection experience preferred
  • Previous experience in calling prescriptions under a providers direction
  • Computer proficient
