Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist 1-3 to join our team! We are a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services, including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board certified physicians.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent in this position will perform a wide variety of clinical diagnostic tests with emphasis on recognizing and resolving problems and requiring the application of interpretive judgment at LSU Health-Lallie Kemp Medical Center. This position will be required to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist license plus one of the following:
A bachelor's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science; OR
A bachelors degree in a biological, physical, or chemical science plus one year of experience as a medical technologist.

About this job: The Medical Laboratory Technologist 1, 2 or 3 is a Career Progression Group (CPG). The level of hire depends on the level of experience. Please make sure to list all work history and detailed job duties on the application.
Work Location: This Medical Laboratory Technologist 1-3 position is located in the Pathology Department.
Work Hours: Shift will be determined by the department Manager.
Shift Differentials: In addition to Base Pay, Shift Pay and Certification pay is included only when working.
The incumbent shall possess and maintain a valid BLS certification from American Heart Association before appointment.
