Draws and processes specimens promptly and in compliance with established procedure. Performs routine and special laboratory tests under the supervision of a Laboratory Manager. Follows established procedures when performing chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urine analysis, bacteria cultures, blood bank, or serology tests or procedures. Assists in the maintenance of instruments and equipment.
Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Ability to calculate test results and effective oral and written communications. Registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician, ASCP/AMT or equivalent, or registry eligible. Must have computer skills. Requires moderate periods of sitting, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
