This Medical Laboratory Scientist position offers the opportunity to work in a technologically advanced laboratory where precision, analytical thinking, and collaboration directly impact patient care. The role is ideal for a laboratory professional who enjoys performing complex clinical testing, working with sophisticated instrumentation, and contributing to a team dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic services.
In this role, you will perform clinical chemistry testing while ensuring compliance with established laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include analyzing patient specimens, evaluating and verifying test results, monitoring quality control data, troubleshooting and maintaining laboratory instrumentation, managing laboratory inventory, and accurately documenting testing information within laboratory information systems. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will help ensure the highest levels of accuracy, reliability, and patient safety.
You will also contribute to laboratory quality, innovation, and continuous improvement by participating in process improvement initiatives, validating new methodologies, laboratory information system updates, and testing platforms, while helping optimize laboratory workflows and operational efficiency. In addition, you will support the education and development of students, new employees, and fellows through training and mentoring, fostering a collaborative environment focused on professional growth and excellence.
Collaboration and customer service are essential aspects of this role. You will work closely with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow laboratory professionals to provide responsive service, resolve laboratory-related questions, and ensure efficient turnaround times in a fast-paced clinical environment. Success in this position requires strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize competing demands, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to both internal and external customers.
