Required Skills:
Proven experience in medical laboratory settings, specifically blood bank procedures.
Strong knowledge of blood specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with medical teams.
Ability to thrive in high-paced, trauma environments.
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with automated blood bank instruments.
Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS).
Additional certifications such as ASCP or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in trauma or emergency settings.
Prior blood bank experience is mandatory.
Other Requirements:
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT).
Ability to work 5/8 hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Willingness to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Travel or licensure reimbursement may be available when applicable.
