Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related biological/physical sciences OR military MLT certification.
  • Minimum of 2+ years hospital or clinical laboratory testing experience, with proficiency in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and Blood Bank.
  • Valid State license (if applicable) and certification through ASCP, AMT, or AAB as a Medical Lab Technician.
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry and information retrieval.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with laboratory regulatory standards and compliance.
  • Additional certifications in specialized testing areas.
  • Experience working night shifts in a hospital or clinical setting.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • An associate degree in medical laboratory science, medical technology, or a related field.
  • Current certification and licensure in the state of practice.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on clinical laboratory experience in a hospital environment, with a generalist background across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and blood banking.

Other Requirements:
  • Night shift availability (12-hour night shifts).
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures as needed.
  • Willingness to work in a patient care environment with exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially infectious materials.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards.
  • May require travel reimbursements for certifications, licensure, or training.
