- Preferred 2 years experience with Durable Medical Equipment
- Preferred 2 years experience with Medicare and other insurance carriers as it pertains to Durable Medical Equipment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
The DME Respiratory Equipment Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleans, disinfects, assembles, and maintains durable medical equipment and respiratory care equipment.
- Sets up patient and instructs on proper and safe use of medical equipment and supplies as well as physician prescription.* Assists in organization and management of supply rooms.
- Assists in maintaining inventory of equipment needs for the branch, including ordering from vendor and entering into inventory system.
- Performs data entry, answers telephone and directs calls to appropriate staff.
- Answers questions for patients and referral sources regarding insurance criteria and replenishment processes.
- Assists in processing RMA for equipment failures.
- Routinely fills CPAP resupply orders
- Responsible for accreditation tasks as assigned
- Follows all federal, state, local and regulatory guidelines
The DME Respiratory Tech reports to the Branch manager.
This job may require the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS owned) and therefore must have a current State Driver's License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
