  • Preferred 2 years experience with Durable Medical Equipment
  • Preferred 2 years experience with Medicare and other insurance carriers as it pertains to Durable Medical Equipment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

The DME Respiratory Equipment Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cleans, disinfects, assembles, and maintains durable medical equipment and respiratory care equipment.
  • Sets up patient and instructs on proper and safe use of medical equipment and supplies as well as physician prescription.* Assists in organization and management of supply rooms.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory of equipment needs for the branch, including ordering from vendor and entering into inventory system.
  • Performs data entry, answers telephone and directs calls to appropriate staff.
  • Answers questions for patients and referral sources regarding insurance criteria and replenishment processes.
  • Assists in processing RMA for equipment failures.
  • Routinely fills CPAP resupply orders
  • Responsible for accreditation tasks as assigned
  • Follows all federal, state, local and regulatory guidelines

The DME Respiratory Tech reports to the Branch manager.

This job may require the incumbents to operate a INTEGRIS owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS owned) and therefore must have a current State Driver's License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
