Job Description

The Equipment Planner directly performs medical equipment planning, procurement, installation, and other related project consulting services assignments contracted for delivery by the Company. Successfully plans and manages the equipment scope and develops and delivers the medical equipment documents, throughout the duration of our healthcare, science, and education projects. This role is responsible for managing projects ranging in size and complexity while simultaneously establishing a rapport with the design team and fostering on-going relationships with the project owners.

 

Core Responsibilities

Work Product Creation, Project Management, Coordination with Team Members

  • Performs medical equipment consulting services as assigned ensuring project continues on schedule and within budgetary and quality requirements.
  • Leads and participates in medical equipment planning meetings with senior leadership, clinical users, architects, engineers, and consultants to support the selection of appropriate medical equipment.
  • Collaborates on medical equipment siting and installation requirements with clinical users, architects, engineers, and other consultants.
  • Elevates any issues related to medical equipment to the Client’s project team and ensures they are tracked and addressed.
  • Develops medical equipment lists and associated estimated costs within MEQ planning database(s).
  • Revises medical equipment lists and estimated costs as projects move from schematic design through procurement and installation.
  • Conducts and documents surveys and inventories of existing equipment within healthcare facilities.
  • Reviews submittal documents to ensure they are accurate and correct.
  • Works with vendors and internal ADAMS resources to provide detailed specifications be used for procurement proposals, including bidding.
  • Works with procurement on the reconciliation of purchase order information to equipment programmed within projects.
  • Collaborates with BIM team to ensure equipment placement drawings and submittals are complete and accurate.
  • Provides clear documentation of equipment changes to coordinators to update equipment lists.
  • Initiates and participates in ADAMS medical equipment planning process improvement activities.
  • Assists in preparation of project proposals and attends meetings as a project representative, working to establish positive client relationships.
  • Provides project medical equipment budget updates to the project Owner as required.
  • Maintains financial responsibilities required to support invoicing, revenue tracking, and overall successful outcome of projects.
  • Ensures effective communications and a collaborative work environment. When leading projects, the position will provide management and oversight.
  • Serves as central communication point and frontline for addressing project expectations internally and externally.
  • Fosters on-going client relationships and ensures overall client satisfaction is maintained.

  • Conduct self and prioritize tasks to work toward achievement of defined profit objectives of assigned projects
  • Cooperate in construction of strong cross-functional teams (support staff assignments of self) to achieve success in shared goals, understanding that multiple perspectives and talents build stronger teams and results
  • Complete daily tasks consistent with contract requirements and proactively alert assigned manager to any potential challenges or issues
  • Ensure compliance of operations with all local, state and Federal (and International, if applicable) regulations, as well as compliance with company policy
  • Ensure consistent high quality on deliverables for all individual work product
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience, a Master's degree and 6 years of related experience, or 11 years of related experience and no degree. 

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience in providing reliable work product review as assigned
  • Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with co-workers and Supervisors, and clients, subcontractors, and vendors as assigned
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated self-awareness and flexibility in working with a variety of personalities and work styles (colleagues, clients, Assigned Managing Director(s))
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and perform consistently and positively under high stress conditions
  • Knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe) required

The salary ranges for this role are as follows: 
$86,000 - $208,000 USD annually (Geographical Tier AA - Sample Locations: NY Metro, San Franscisco, San Jose, Seattle)  
$79,000 - $192,000 USD annually (Geographical Tier A - Sample Locations: Irvine CA, Middlesex NJ, Tacoma WA, Boston, Alexandria) 
$73,000 - $176,000 USD annually (Geographical Tier B - Sample Locations - Baltimore, Chicago, Anchorage, Portland) 
$66,000 - $160,000 USD annually (Geographical Tier C - Sample Locations - Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Miami) 
$63,000 - $152,000 USD annually (Geographical Tier D - Sample Locations - Mississippi, Mobile AL, Bowling Green KY, Tulsa)
