Clinical educator with responsibilities in areas of emergency education, medical emergency, and emergency management. Supports these essential areas through education, trainer instruction, administrative functions, team, and committee participation.
The Life Support Learning Center (LSLC) is seeking an experienced Emergency Services Provider with a passion for teaching. The LSLC offers BLS, ALS, and critical care courses to all clinical staff who require credentialing (MD, RN, Paramedic, RT, etc.).
The successful incumbent for this position would preferably have the following:
At least 2 years of strong ALS experience, as well as a strong desire to embrace various instructional modalities.
At least 2 years of experience as a medic level provider.
A strong work ethic and adaptability.
Previous instructor experience is not required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma.
Certifications: American Heart Association Instructor for ACLS, PALS, and/or BLS within two weeks of hire.
Experience: 1-2 years experience required.
Licensure/Certifications: EMT-B required; EMT-Paramedic, EMT-Intermediate, or Advanced EMT preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience: 2 years experience as a Paramedic.
Licensure/Certifications: EMT-P in the Commonwealth of Virginia. ACLS and PALS instructor certificates preferred.
Physical Demands
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending, stooping, traveling.
Proficient communicative auditory and visual skills.
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
Ability to lift, push, pull > 100lbs.
May be exposed to chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious disease.
The starting base rate for this role is $54,558.40 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidates qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
