Position Description: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctor ( MD ) or Doctor of Osteopathy ( DO ) for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Syracuse, NY, to serve as attending physician for our resident population. This is a full-time, in-person position. Part-time arrangements available for the right candidate.
Qualifications of the Medical Doctor ( MD ) or Doctor of Osteopathy ( DO ):
Valid Medical Doctor ( MD ) or Doctor of Osteopathy ( DO ) license in the state of New York
Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred
Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) or post-acute setting preferred
Responsibilities of the Medical Doctor ( MD ) or Doctor of Osteopathy ( DO ):
Serve as attending physician for assigned facility residents
Conduct admission examinations and review medical records
Manage chronic conditions, medications, and transitional care
Coordinate with nursing staff, family, and interdisciplinary teams
Stay current with clinical practice guidelines and quality measures
