Position Overview:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: $240,000 - $250,000 annually

Role Responsibilities:

The Medical Director is responsible for guiding the medical care delivery at our organization, ensuring high-quality healthcare services are provided. This role also involves supporting and directing medically-related committee activities.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • M.D. or D.O. with an active state license.
  • DEA registration and the ability to secure and maintain staff privileges at contracted agencies.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.
  • Experience in a managed care setting, collaborating with peers and healthcare providers on utilization, quality management, performance improvement, pharmacy and therapeutics, peer review, credentialing, and physician leadership matters.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership or administrative capacity.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice, with advanced certification in geriatrics preferred.
  • This position requires compliance with Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening process.
Essential Functions:
  • Promotes quality-focused, patient-centered care supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team.
  • Oversees the delivery of care and clinical outcomes.
  • Provides medical guidance and supervision for medical services.
  • Leads the development of medical policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Responsible for establishing clinical standards and medical practice protocols.
  • Oversees the Quality Improvement (QI) Plan.
  • Reviews quality of care issues and supervises the creation and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Participates in the training and education of internal providers and the interdisciplinary team.
