The Medical Director collaborates with the ambulatory care pharmacist to ensure safe, effective, evidence-based medication management services. This role promotes patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and program growth.Essential duties and responsibilities include: Clinical oversight Provides medical oversight of pharmacotherapy clinic services. Review and approve clinic protocols and collaborative practice agreement(s) Ensure evidence-basedcare consistent with current guidelines Serve as physician consultant for complex patient cases Support clinical decision-making related to medication management Program leadership Establish strategic goals and objectives for clinic services in collaboration with the Director of Pharmacy and Ambulatory Care Pharmacist(s) Participate in service-line development and expansion initiatives. Evaluate opportunities for new pharmacotherapy programs and disease-state management services Promote integration of clinic services across the health system Collaborative Practice and Scope Management Assist in the development and maintenance of Collaborative Practice Agreements (CPAs) Ensure appropriate physician-pharmacist collaboration and communication. Regulatory and Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations Review and approve policies and procedures related to pharmacotherapy services Support documentation standards QUALIFICATIONS: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Unrestricted Oklahoma Medical license Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience Already credentialed with Stillwater Medical Center Authority JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to the Chief Medical Officer or designated physician leader Works in Collaborative Practice with the Ambulatory Care Pharmacist(s) Works on strategic development initiatives with the Director of Pharmacy
