Position Summary
The Main Site clinic, Mile Square''s largest facility, features 47 exam rooms and offers a wide range of services, including family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, addiction treatment, midwifery, OB/GYN, optometry, infectious disease, endocrinology, and other medical subspecialties. In addition to direct patient care, the Medical Director is responsible for overseeing provider staff, including managing schedules, ensuring productivity, maintaining quality standards, and handling other provider-related duties.
Additionally, the Main Site serves as a training site for Family Medicine residents, UIC medical students, and addiction medicine fellows. It functions as a continuity clinic for the UIC Department of Family and Community Medicine residency program. The Site Medical Director plays a key role in coordinating and maintaining the preceptor schedule for both residents and addiction fellows and acting as the primary liaison between Mile Square and the residency program and the addiction of fellowship programs. The Medical Director will help coordinate and manage the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) that is located in the Mile Square Main building and managed by Family Guidance Center.
