About the Role:
As the Medical Director (Lung/GI focus) for US Oncology Medical Affairs, you will take on a pivotal role in shaping and executing medical affairs strategies for BioNTechs oncology portfolio. Your expertise will directly contribute to advancing our mission of pioneering immunotherapies that improve patient outcomes in oncology.
You will join a dynamic, cross-functional team dedicated to driving successful product launches and lifecycle management. Your work will influence key department goals and impact BioNTechs success in transforming cancer care.
Your Contribution:
Design and implement innovative medical affairs strategies and plans for BioNTechs oncology portfolio
Provide expert medical and scientific insights to cross-functional teams, including Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Safety
Develop and execute impactful medical education strategies, programs, and materials targeted at healthcare professionals
Act as a medical/scientific spokesperson at advisory boards, educational events, and internal meetings
Build and maintain relationships with external experts, medical societies, and patient advocacy groups in oncology
Offer medical input into clinical development plans, study protocols, and operational documents to ensure alignment with goals
A Good Match:
Bachelors degree, advanced degree in medicine or science (PhD, PharmD), 6 plus years of Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry specializing in oncology
Proven US oncology commercial launch experience
Strong knowledge of oncology disease biology and therapeutic landscape; breast/womens cancers experience preferred
Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative mindset suited for a global matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple timelines/projects while maintaining attention to detail
US based candidates expected Pay Range: $168,100 - $268,700/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). *Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
