11:00pm–7:00am, Monday–Friday

What You’ll Tackle

  • Set up and operate weld equipment per documented methods to hit strict tolerances and quality standards.
  • Perform manual layout and manual surface prep to build weldments when required.
  • Interpret blueprints, travelers, work instructions, and welding symbols with precision.
  • Use fixtures, positioners, and holding devices to achieve accurate, repeatable fit-ups.
  • Measure and verify dimensions with the appropriate gauges and precision tools.
  • Jump into problem-solving activities that keep production moving.
  • Mentor Associate Welder & Welder I, and support training for Welder II.
  • Fit, purge, and complete CJP (complete joint penetration) welds.
  • Troubleshoot weld equipment, materials, and fixturing to resolve issues.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections to confirm quality.
  • Apply AWS standards and welding symbols in daily tasks.
  • Produce every product line assigned within your area.
  • Partner with the Senior Welder to review and refine standard work.

Must-Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of welding experience
  • 2 years in solid metal fabrication/machining
  • Manual TIG (GTAW) proficiency with stainless, mild steel, and aluminum
  • Comfort with precision measuring instruments and gauges

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with flux core, MIG, stick, and carbon steel
  • GTAW (TIG) certification

Also Bring

  • Strong math and troubleshooting skills, plus basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and standard welding symbols
