Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry, has an immediate opening for a R&D Packaging Technician(Medical Products) for a 12-month + Contract. The R&D Packaging Technician will conduct packaging tests, manage test data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and operate automated equipment. Works under limited supervision, assisting engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.
Position Description
- Execute routine and non-routine laboratory tests that require fine motor skills, accurate hand-eye coordination, and careful handling of components and equipment.
- Test prototypes per engineering instructions and document test results.
- Develop proficiency in LIMS to ensure seamless electronic test management.
- Communicate assignment status to project engineers.
- Train others on new product processes and procedures.
- Ensure product is tested to the most current/validated method/process and specification and documentation is correctly completed per GLP & QS requirements as applicable.
Educational/Experience Requirements
- Two-year Technical Degree (i.e., AA, Certificate) and/or equivalent experience.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn complex systems (experience with LIMS is a plus).
- Hands-on experience operating automated equipment or robotic systems.
- Previous medical device experience would be great. Ideally working in a lab environment or production environment. Ideally not someone who has no lab or production like experience
