Summary:

  • Location: Plymouth, MN
  • Pay Rate: 19.25/hr
  • Hours: 3.30 PM - 2 AM | Mon-Thu

Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-quality cardiovascular medical devices within a manufacturing cell.
  • Perform detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery per documented procedures.
  • Engage in electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
  • Clean tools and equipment per documented procedures and dispose of hazardous waste material appropriately.
  • Assemble medical devices and related components.
  • Work in a controlled cleanroom environment, using microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering, adhesive bonding, and operating various equipment.
  • Perform routine assignments according to specified and/or standardized procedures under close supervision.
  • Conduct visual inspection and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
  • Test units using computerized test equipment and repair devices/components using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Package devices ensuring all parts are accurate and documentation is complete.
  • Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability and quality assurance of all products.
  • Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices and equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement/quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
  • Notify supervisor or lead of supply/material needs and production difficulties.
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring goals and performance metrics.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical device assembly.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow English written procedures at a 6th-grade level.
  • Basic math skills at a 6th-grade level.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
  • Good dexterity to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
  • Ability to prioritize work and make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
