Responsibilities
Collect, process, and perform statistical analyses of complex healthcare data.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data by performing regular quality assurance checks.
Develop and maintain databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
Interpret data and analyse results using statistical techniques to provide ongoing reports.
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Cleanse and validate data to ensure it is error-free and fit for purpose.
Collaborate with internal teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Adhere strictly to data privacy and confidentiality regulations and organisational policies.
Qualifications
Proven experience working as a Data Specialist or Data Analyst, preferably within a medical or healthcare environment.
Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases (SQL, etc.).
Proficiency in statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
A degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics is highly regarded.
A strong understanding of data governance and quality control principles.
