We are seeking a dedicated Medical Certification Supervisor to lead our certification team and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of Waiver Services. Minimum Qualifications

A current Louisiana license in a health services field, health regulation field, or social services field plus four years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR

A bachelors degree plus four years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR

A masters degree in a health services field, health regulation field, or a social services field plus three years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Ensure that Louisiana Legislature-funded Community-Based Waiver Service resources are utilized effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable regulations and program requirements.
  • Provide leadership, oversight, and direction for certification and monitoring activities within the District Office.
  • Anticipate programmatic and operational needs; establish goals, priorities, benchmarks, objectives, and performance expectations to support service excellence.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain work processes, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance program effectiveness and compliance.
  • Supervise staff by assigning workloads, scheduling employees, delegating responsibilities, and monitoring performance to ensure timely and accurate completion of duties.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including interviewing applicants and making hiring recommendations for prospective employees.
  • Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and service delivery standards; identify opportunities for improvement and recommend revisions as appropriate.
  • Oversee the Critical Incident Reporting process through the Statewide Incident Management System (SIMS).
  • Review, investigate, and coordinate the timely resolution of complaints in accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements and established organizational procedures.
  • Monitor complaint resolution activities to ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes, documentation standards, and quality expectations

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Probational Appointment

Location: Capital Area Human Services Districts Developmental Disabilities Division.

Work Schedule: This position requires a total of 40 hours per week. Schedule will be determined based on operational needs. Work schedules may vary and can include:

  • Eight (8) hour workdays
  • Ten (10) hour workdays
  • Nine (9) hour workdays for four (4) days and one (1) four (4) hour workday

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Note regarding the advertised pay range: The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and NOT the amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
