We currently have an opening for a Medical Certification Specialist in our Developmental Disabilities - Waiver Support and Services office! This role will perform advanced level duties involving reviews, interpretation and decisions of certifications/eligibility for Medicaid expenditures for individuals seeking Home and Community Based Waiver Services (HCBWS).

Minimum Qualifications
A current Louisiana license in a health services field, health regulation field, or social services field plus two years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR
A bachelors degree plus two years of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services; OR
A masters degree in a health services field, health regulation field, or a social services field plus one year of experience in hospital or nursing home administration, health services, health regulation, or social services.

As a Medical Certification Specialist, you will:
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional
Work Schedule: 8 hours a day; Monday through Friday
Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District - Developmental Disabilities - Waiver Support and Services office.
Career Progression Group (CPG): This position participates in a CPG and may be filled as a Medical Certification Specialist 1 or 2. The level at which the vacancy will be filled is determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
Location: This position is located in the Developmental Disabilities Office - Waiver Support and Services.

This incumbent is required to possess and maintain the necessary special requirements relevant to the assigned CPG level.
