Join Our Team as a Medical Billing Specialist!

Job Responsibilities:

• Accurately post insurance and patient payments (primary responsibility)
• Perform medical coding for ophthalmology services
• Process insurance and patient refunds
• Prepare patient estimates for upcoming procedures and assist with estimate phone calls as needed
• Answer billing-related phone calls and assist patients with billing questions
• Perform accounts receivable follow-up with insurance companies and patients
• Assist with other revenue cycle and billing department duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in electronic health records systems
