 Join our multidisciplinary clinic as a Medical Billing Specialist responsible for end-to-end billing for ABA, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy services. You’ll ensure accurate coding, timely claim submission, denial management, and clean reimbursement processes to support excellent patient care.


Responsibilities:
  • Submit and track claims for ABA, Speech, and OT; ensure proper CPT/ICD-10 coding.
  • Verify patient benefits, determine eligibility, obtain authorizations, and manage payer portals.
  • Review charts for documentation and coding accuracy; correct and resubmit denied or underpaid claims; handle appeals as needed.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on unpaid claims, and coordinate with front office for patient collection when appropriate.
  • Reconcile payments, post payments, and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate patient billing records; ensure HIPAA compliance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and front desk to resolve billing questions and improve processes.
  • Stay current with payer policy changes and local/national billing guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of medical billing experience in ABA, Speech, OT, or pediatric therapy settings.
  • Proficient in CPT/ICD-10 coding, payer rules, and claims submission processes.
  • Experience with claim denials/appeals and patient balance follow-up.
  • Familiarity with practice management software and MS Excel; strong data-entry skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities; team player.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy practices.
