Job Title: Medical Biller

Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies.
- Verify claim accuracy and ensure compliance with payer requirements and healthcare regulations.
- Review and post insurance and patient payments accurately.
- Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies.
- Follow up on outstanding claims to maximize reimbursement and reduce aging accounts receivable.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to ensure accurate payment processing.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare staff regarding billing inquiries and account resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of billing activities and account follow-up efforts.
- Assist patients with questions regarding insurance coverage, balances, and payment options.
- Stay current on insurance guidelines, billing regulations, and coding updates.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or billing education preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of medical billing, healthcare revenue cycle, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance claim processing, and reimbursement practices.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, and managed care organizations.
- Understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding is a plus.
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) and medical billing software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
