What the Medical Assistant Will Do: Assisting with room preparation between patient visits Administrative duties like checking patients in and out scheduling referrals and follow-ups Obtaining document signatures Taking phone calls, and providing lab results Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Successful completion of accredited/approved: MA program and MA externship, MA internship, EMT, or Paramedic program 0-1 year previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
