Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant  with a strong background in dermatology. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and support back office staff, including medical assistants
  • Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Assist dermatologists during exams and procedures (biopsies, excisions, cosmetic treatments)
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance
  • Ensure exam rooms are properly prepared, stocked, and compliant with safety standards
  • Monitor and maintain clinical inventory and supplies
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication between providers and staff
  • Ensure accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care
  • Resolve workflow issues and support a positive team environment
Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in a dermatology setting (required)
  • 3-5+ years of back office medical assistant experience (dermatology preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of dermatologic procedures and treatments
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
