We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team with our Specialty Care Center! This is a Monday-Friday opportunity with hours between 8:00-4:00. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn how to do the clinical and clerical pieces of patient care to better support the patient's experience. In this role you will:
- Perform delegated nursing functions under the supervision of the RN using established procedures, policies, guidelines and standards of care
- Manually cleans and disinfects patient care items and equipment notifies director of missing or malfunctioning equipment
- Answers phones, records messages; greets patients and visitors
- Prepare charts for physician clinics and schedules patient appointments
- Documents and reports observations to the nurse or provider; accurately documents patient care provided on appropriate hospital forms and within the established timeframes
What Youll Bring/Requirements:
- Training or experience as a medical assistant
- completion of high school degree or equivalent
- 2 years experience in a medical office setting
- knowledge of medical terminology
- personal computer, data entry, and communication skills
- Acquire American Heart Association BLS in 60 days
