Join Our Team:
Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our South County Internal Medicine office located at 5034 Griffin Road!
Opportunity:
Full-time opening
Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
No nights, weekends or holidays
Outpatient clinical practice
Day-to-Day:
Perform back office functions
Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
Perform phlebotomy
Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
Who we are seeking (preferred):
The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
CPR Certification.
PC/Windows proficiency.
Medical coding familiarity.
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
