Potential candidate’s responsibilities include vital patients, phlebotomy, performing EKG's, assisting with wound care, giving vaccinations. Having excellent communication skills with patients is very important. A desire to continually learn about medicine and patient care is essential. Very competitive salary . Applicant must have a least 1 year experience. We prefer applicants live within a one hour (or shorter) commute from our office.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions Patient Services: Ensures that clients/patients receive quality, timely, professional services in accordance with Clinic’s mission and values.


  • Performs standard patient-related tasks according to clinical policies and procedures and at the direction of the medical providers, ensuring a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients, including:
  • Sets up exam rooms prior to clinic sessions, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available. Maintains sufficient patient care and medical supplies.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Medical/Medicare programs, CHDP, Family Pact, PE, Etc.
  • Utilizes the electronic health records(EHR/EMR) database to access prior patient history, test results and related information; performs data entry to record information about the current appointment; prints documents for provider and/or patient as needed.
  • Assists providers with examinations and other procedures including but not limited to pelvic examinations, physicals, immunizations
  • Checks patients’ vital signs; conducts vision and hearing screenings; performs, EKGs, and venipuncture; records test results in the patients’ electronic health records(EHR).
  • Maintain patient care equipment such as nebulizer, Hemocue machine, blood pressure unit, oxygen, etc.
  • Provides information to patients and refer, per protocol, to Health Education, Vision Care, Specialty Services; makes follow up appointments as appropriate.
  • Gives each patient a summary of their visit, plan of care, education handouts and self-monitoring tools and information about other useful community resources.
  • Completion of skill competencies yearly as directed by Nurse Manager.
