Medical Assistant (MA) – PACE Clinic

PACE Clinic – Florida | 8-Week Assignment | 40 Hours/Week | On-Site

Job Summary

We're looking for a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to join our PACE Clinic team. In this role, you'll work alongside physicians, APRNs, and nurses to provide high-quality patient care while supporting both clinical and administrative operations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys working with the elderly population in a collaborative healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and assist with check-in/check-out.
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Enter physician orders into the electronic medical record.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy.
  • Perform EKGs and administer nebulizer treatments.
  • Assist with medication refills and specialist referrals.
  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Prepare patient records, medication lists, and documentation for provider visits.
  • Administer IM/SC injections under physician supervision.
  • Perform simple dressing changes under physician supervision.
  • Clean and process medical instruments.
  • Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and clinic supplies.
  • Answer phones and communicate patient messages to clinical staff.
  • Assist patients with restroom needs and activities of daily living (ADLs) while in the clinic.
  • Chaperone providers during patient examinations.
  • Perform routine clinic equipment maintenance.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
    (Advanced education preferred)
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with frail or elderly patients
  • Current CPR Certification
    (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance
  • Ability to successfully complete competency assessments and employment screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Advanced education beyond high school
