ABOUT THE ROLE

 

As a Medical Assistant at VIPcare, you'll be at the center of it all — rooming patients, performing clinical procedures, and playing an active role in the value-based care initiatives that improve outcomes for our Medicare Advantage population. You'll work alongside physicians and APPs in a collaborative, Monday–Friday clinic environment where every day brings meaningful work.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

 

• Room patients and document medical histories, vital signs, medications, allergies, and chief complaints in the EMR
• Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, vision screenings, CLIA-waived lab testing, and medication/immunization administration
• Support Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs) by preparing Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) and updating preventive care records
• Assist with patient outreach, preventive screening scheduling, and documentation
• Complete Transitional Care Management (TCM) — Medicare-supported outreach to patients within 2 days of hospital discharge
• Handle front office functions as needed: phone calls, scheduling, check-in/check-out, and referral processing
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support inventory management

 

WHAT YOU BRING

 

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA, RMA, NCMA, or CCMA certification preferred
• 1+ year of MA experience in a physician practice or outpatient/ambulatory care setting preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or obtained within organizational guidelines)
• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage plans, HEDIS measures, and Annual Wellness Visit workflows a plus
• Experience with EMR systems; proficiency with Google Workspace
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for patient care

**The compensation for the selected candidate will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as relevant experience, particularly in value-based care, skills, and qualifications as they align with the role's requirements. We are dedicated to providing a competitive salary that not only meets market standards but also reflects the unique value and expertise the candidate brings to the organization.

Pay Range

USD $18.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
