Client Overview:
Our client is a confidential multi-location healthcare practice specializing in interventional pain management. The organization provides patient-focused care in a fast-paced clinical environment with multiple outpatient locations across New Jersey. They are now looking for a Medical Assistant.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr - $25/hr

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Medical Assistant to support an interventional pain management team. This role provides both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient patient flow, high-quality care, and a positive patient experience. Clinical staff are cross-trained to assist with front desk duties as needed.

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories in the EMR.
  • Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures.
  • Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms between patients.
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout visits.
  • Greet and communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Explain procedures and prepare patients for exams or treatments.
  • Provide discharge instructions and review follow-up care.
  • Conduct post-procedure follow-up calls.
  • Accurately document vitals, procedures, and visit notes in the EMR.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Track clinical supplies and notify leadership when inventory is low.
  • Support front desk operations when needed.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Required Experience/Skills for the Medical Assistant:
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
  • Ability to travel between multiple practice locations as assigned.
  • Ability to travel to additional outpatient locations as needed.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Medical Assistant:
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA).
  • Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or a related specialty.
  • EMR experience (eClinicalWorks preferred).
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
