Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Naperville, IL

Type: Contract | 7 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift

- Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

- Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Naperville, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Support front and back office clinical operations.
  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits.
  • Obtain and accurately document patient information and vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and blood draw procedures.
  • Administer vaccines as directed.
  • Perform EKGs and Point-of-Care (POC) testing.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care activities.
  • Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries.
  • Maintain and update Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Ensure smooth patient flow and excellent customer service.
  • Provide additional clinical support as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe patient care areas.
  • Follow all clinic safety, infection control, and compliance guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in addition to externship.
  • Front and back office experience required.
  • Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required.
  • EKG experience required.
  • Point-of-Care (POC) testing experience required.
  • Scheduling and patient rooming experience required.
  • Experience taking patient vital signs required.
  • EMR experience required.
  • Current BLS or CPR certification required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred QualificationsM

  • Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred.
  • Occupational Health experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with health education and patient outreach preferred.
