Job Summary ------------
Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position is at a primary clinic in Schaumburg IL. Please DISREGARD the header location.
Responsibilities ----------------
• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam. • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients. • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner. • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure. • Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing. • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions. • Respond to all lab messages and call back requests. • Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations. • Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure. • Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis. • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures. • Maintain complete and accurate documentation. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications -------------
Associates degree A.A. or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.
Compensation ------------
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
