Location: Mesa, Arizona

Work Environment: Functional and integrative medicine outpatient clinic focused on patient-centered care.

Salary / Hourly Rate: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour (DOE)

  • Monday & Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 2nd & 4th Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our functional medicine practice in Mesa, Arizona. This position is ideal for a Medical Assistant who is passionate about integrative and functional medicine, values patient-centered care, and enjoys working in a collaborative clinical environment. The Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting providers, coordinating patient flow, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs
  • Assist with clinical documentation and patient charting
  • Support providers during examinations and procedures
  • Assist with functional medicine workflows and patient care plans
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical areas
  • Assist with scheduling, patient education, and follow-up communication
  • Ensure accuracy in EMR documentation and clinical records
  • Provide compassionate, professional patient service
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient office operations

Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Medical Assistant experience required
  • Experience in a functional medicine, integrative medicine, or primary care setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and clinical documentation
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Current BLS certification preferred
