Description
A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a certified Medical Assistant (MA) to join their growing team in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
Assignment Length: 3+ months
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week; flexibility required)
Setting: Clinic
Responsibilities:
Greeting and engaging with patients
Monitoring patient flow and communicating wait times
Assisting with patient registration and check-out
Scheduling appointments and verifying insurance
Supporting clinical care and administrative tasks
Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
High School Diploma / GED
Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program
Medical Assistant (MA) certification
Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Solid assessment and documentation skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications:
3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
Working knowledge of EPIC EMR system
