Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Storm Lake, IA

Duration: 8 Weeks


Job Summary: The Medical Assistant supports both front and back office operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality clinical care. This role involves direct patient interaction, administrative coordination, and clinical procedures while maintaining a collaborative team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and room patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience
  • Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
  • Record patient vitals and medical information accurately
  • Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
  • Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
  • Maintain and update patient records using EMR systems
  • Provide support across both front and back office functions
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
  • Promote patient education and support outreach initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience (minimum 1 year required beyond externship)
  • Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency
