Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Storm Lake, IA
Duration: 8 Weeks
Job Summary: The Medical Assistant supports both front and back office operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and high-quality clinical care. This role involves direct patient interaction, administrative coordination, and clinical procedures while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients, ensuring a positive and professional experience
Schedule appointments and manage incoming calls
Record patient vitals and medical information accurately
Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and specimen collection
Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
Maintain and update patient records using EMR systems
Provide support across both front and back office functions
Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff
Promote patient education and support outreach initiatives
Required Qualifications:
2–3 years of Medical Assistant experience (minimum 1 year required beyond externship)
Medical Assistant Certification (strongly preferred)
Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
Basic computer proficiency
