Medical Assistant (Contract-to-Hire)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Location: Laguna Niguel, CA 92677

Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Medical Assistant to support our ambulatory care team in delivering high‑quality patient care. This contract‑to‑hire role requires strong clinical competency, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Meet all ambulatory Medical Assistant clinical competencies.
• Perform clinical procedures under the supervision of a Provider.
• Follow established protocols for prescription refills and medication prior authorizations.
• Adhere to standard workflows for patient care processes.
• Implement Provider and licensed care team orders accurately and promptly.
• Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and timely, reflecting each patient’s plan of care.
• Demonstrate ongoing development of clinical expertise and awareness of current healthcare trends.
• Work collaboratively with Centralized Services to support patient needs.
• Follow proper reporting protocols for compliance or incident reporting.
• Strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to meet all ambulatory MA clinical competencies
• Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance
• Willingness and ability to float to other clinic locations
