Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and medical administrative support, with experience in an orthopedic clinic setting a plus. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively assist healthcare providers while ensuring a positive experience for patients.
 
Duties
  • Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs and performing intake assessments.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and coding standards such as ICD coding.
  • Support physicians in the outpatient orthopedic clinic.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication administration, and follow-up care instructions.
Skills
  • Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
  • Experience in orthopedics preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic life support techniques.
  • Strong understanding of medical administrative support tasks including appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments.
