Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s healthcare facility in Irving, TX 75038. This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon- Fri.

Pay rate: $20 - $23/hr. On W2.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.

Responsibilities:

1. Take vital signs and room patients.
2. Record medical history and update EMR/EHR.
3. Assist providers during exams and procedures.
4. Administer injections, vaccines, and medications.
5. Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
6. Schedule appointments and verify insurance.
7. Process referrals and prior authorizations.
8. Educate patients on treatment plans.
9. Maintain exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Graduated from Medical Assistant program, Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA) (certification is required).
• BLS Certification is required.
