Medical Assistant II – Podiatry (Full-Time)

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant II to join our Podiatry clinic in West Jordan, Utah. In this role, you will work directly with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care and daily clinic operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys working with patients and assisting providers. Candidates must possess experience in surgical and procedural scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and complete intake, including recording vital signs, medications, allergies, and medical history
- Prepare patients for exams and provide relevant patient information to the provider
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
- Process prior authorizations for medications and procedures
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and communicate with patients about appointments and follow-up care
- Assist clinic staff with additional administrative or clinical tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of medical office or clinical Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in surgical and procedural schedulingREQUIRED
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Typing speed of 40+ words per minute
- Basic computer and math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with patients, providers, and staff
- Reliable and able to adapt to changing clinic priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Experience with X-ray imaging
- Bilingual or multilingual communication skills

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Repetitive motion associated with computer and office equipment
- Work performed in a climate-controlled medical clinic environment
