Job Description Summary

Medical Assistant II - Full Time Schedule: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Experience: 1-2 years required

Specialty: Primary Care, Pulmonary or Cardiac experience is a plus

Float between two offices depending on providers schedule

Overview

We're seeking a skilled Medical Assistant II to support a new provider in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities while ensuring excellent patient care and smooth daily operations.

How will you make an impact & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Complete patient intakes, vitals, medical histories, and medication reviews • Assist with exams, minor procedures, wound care, and diagnostic testing • Perform EKGs, immunizations, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing • Prepare and process lab samples • Maintain infection control and clinical room readiness • Support triage, care coordination, and patient education • Document accurately in the EHRS • Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and verify insurance • Monitor supplies and maintain equipment • Provide compassionate, patient-centered service

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited MA program 1-2 years of clinical experience BLS required MA certification required (AAMA, AMT, NHA, etc.) EHR experience (Epic, Athena, Cerner, etc.) Bilingual English/Spanish preferred EKG or phlebotomy certification a plus
