In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Medical Assistant II at Daughtrey Elementary

Work Location: Bradenton, Florida.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook
  • Assists Clinical Nurse Leader in leading, managing, and guiding all associates assigned to the department and maintaining positive, effective communication with providers, peers, and subordinates
  • Must be able to perform all Medical Assistant duties
  • Must be able to perform all Patient Services duties (patient check-in, check-out, collections, eligibility, etc.)
  • Assists Clinical Nurse Leader in the maintenance of all appropriate logs
  • Completes authorizations and referrals for patients promptly
  • Knowledgeable in triage interventions regarding patients' age
  • Knowledgeable regarding all patient forms (PE, work excuses, proof of pregnancy, etc.)
  • Assists Clinical Nurse Leader in ensuring optimal patient satisfaction, and analyzes operations & workflow activities to ensure best practices are in place
  • Assists Clinical Nurse Leader in monitoring patient flow within the site to ensure safety, quality measures, patient satisfaction, and productivity standards are met
  • Ensure proper training is conducted to include orientation, skills/competency training, new equipment training, continuing education, standard operating procedures, policies and documentation within the electronic health record
  • Assures all staff adhere to and support the patient experience by utilizing the MCR Health vision; as well as adhering to the safety policies and procedures
  • Provides leadership utilizing MCR Health's philosophies, policies, procedures, and standards to promote Care team performance, retention, and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, safety protocols, TJC, and other accreditation standards and laws
  • Ensure compliance of all staff with various corporate training and development programs, compliance training, and attestations
  • Continually analyzes and evaluates operational performance to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy/procedure changes
  • Leads huddles in the absence of the Clinical Nurse Leader to ensure information is disseminated to the team and the reinforcement of daily reinforcement of standards
  • Serves as a second in command to the Clinical Nurse Leader and performs CNL duties if one is not present

What you will need to bring to this role:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required
  • Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant school with proof of Clinical hours required
  • At least 3 years of medical office experience required
  • Currently displays leadership qualities, skills, and abilities
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required
  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute Required
  • Cardio Department ONLY: ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety Institute Required
  • Valid government or State ID
  • Microsoft OfficeProducts - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint proficiency required

The Medical Assistant II (MAII) combines clinical knowledge with administrative and office coordination skills to support site operations. The MAII assists the Clinical Nurse Leader in leading, managing, and directing clinical team members and front office staff within an assigned MCR location. The MAII must ensure safety and compliance standards are always adhered to, ensuring the execution of all tasks, conditions, and standards of the site, while ensuring quality, patient satisfaction, and productivity standards are met daily.
