Medical Assistant I - Urology

Granger Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated full-time Medical Assistant I - SPANISH language proficiency REQUIRED -to join our growing Urology team at our American Fork location. Pay Scale: $18–$20/hour, depending on education and experience

Overview:

As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include patient intake, telephone triage, insurance authorizations, vital signs, immunizations, phlebotomy, exam room preparation, and administrative support.

  • Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking required)
Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Answer phones, greet patients, and schedule appointments
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed
  • Record vital signs, medications, allergies, and relevant medical information
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments and follow-up needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Fluent Spanish-speaking skills REQUIRED
  • Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred
  • 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent repetitive motion involving computers and office equipment
  • Work performed in a climate-controlled clinical setting
