HYBRID MEDICAL ASSISTANT (FRONT & BACK OFFICE | PAIN MANAGEMENT)

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are not looking for an “average Medical Assistant.”

We are looking for someone who:

  •  Moves fast without losing accuracy
  •  Stays calm in a busy, high-volume clinical environment
  •  Takes ownership without needing constant direction
  •  Understands that in pain management, details matter—medically and legally
  •  Can shift seamlessly between patient care, procedures, and front office coordination
If you enjoy structured chaos, patient interaction, and being the backbone of a clinical team—this role will feel like home.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be a key player in both clinical care and clinic operations, supporting providers, patients, and procedures from start to finish.

Clinical & Back Office

  •  Bring patients into rooms and prepare them for visits
  •  Take vitals, history, and reason for visit with accuracy and speed
  •  Perform injections, UDS, and routine clinical testing
  •  Maintain clean, compliant, and fully documented patient charts
  •  Assist providers during examinations and urgent needs
  •  Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards are always followed
Procedure Support

  •  Prepare patients for procedures and complete structured intake
  •  Start and manage IV access using sterile technique
  •  Monitor patients during procedures and recovery
  •  Work closely with physicians and anesthesiology teams in real time
  •  Assist with discharge, IV removal, and patient instructions
  •  Make pre-procedure reminder calls and post-procedure follow-ups
  •  Help coordinate smooth patient transport and flow
Front Office & Coordination

  •  Answer and document patient calls with accuracy and urgency
  •  Process prescription refill requests per protocol
  •  Support prior authorizations and appointment scheduling
  •  Keep patient flow organized and efficient across the clinic
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE HERE

Success in this role means:

  •  Patients move smoothly through the clinic without delays or confusion
  •  Providers feel fully supported and never “waiting on you”
  •  Documentation is clean, accurate, and audit-ready
  •  Procedures run safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  •  Patients feel cared for from intake to discharge
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  •  Accuracy in clinical documentation and EMR entries
  •  Speed and precision in patient flow and rooming
  •  Safe execution of IVs, procedures, and post-procedure care
  •  Clear, professional communication with providers and staff
  •  Maintaining compliance in every step of care
  •  Keeping the clinic running smoothly—even on high-volume days
WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY

  •  Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA required)
  •  Active BLS/CPR certification
  •  IV placement training or certification
  •  2–3+ years Medical Assistant experience
  •  1–2+ years procedural or pain management experience preferred
  •  Strong EMR experience and fast typing (40+ WPM)
  •  Working knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

In a pain management practice, every detail affects:

  •  Patient safety
  •  Legal documentation
  •  Provider efficiency
  •  Clinic flow
This is a role for someone who doesn’t just “assist”—they keep the entire clinical system moving.
