Medical Assistant – Pediatrics (Full-Time)

Location: Georgetown, TX (On-site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; some Saturday mornings

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant (MA) to join our busy pediatric practice. You’ll work closely with our pediatrician to provide high-quality, family-centered care to children from infancy through adolescence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during well-child and sick visits
• Record and update vital signs, medical history, and immunization records in the EHR
• Administer vaccines and perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, urinalysis, etc.)
• Provide patient and caregiver education on prescribed treatments and preventive care
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
• Support front office tasks, including scheduling and documentation as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of pediatric or family practice experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with children and families
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
