About Southern Pain & Spine At Southern Pain & Spine, you’ll be part of a leading interventional pain management practice serving North Georgia and Metro Atlanta. Our board-certified team provides personalized treatment plans and minimally invasive procedures designed to reduce pain, restore function, and improve quality of life.
The Opportunity As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in both clinical and administrative support. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient flow, safe clinical environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
What You’ll Do Clinical Support
Prepare injections and solutions for pain management procedures
Clean, prepare, and sterilize instruments and surgical equipment
Follow physician orders, protocols, and safety procedures precisely
Patient Care & Coordination
Collect patient data including vital signs and medical history
Coordinate information between patients, physicians, and staff
Check patients in and out with professionalism and efficiency
Administrative Duties
Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing reports
Manage pre-authorizations and maintain accurate, organized charts
Assist in coordinating physician schedules and appointments

Qualifications
1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant required
1+ year of experience with EMR systems required
Athena EMR experience preferred
Background in pain management preferred, but not required
