Medical Assistant – Full Time (Pediatrics)

Cumming, GA.

 Our established and growing pediatric practice is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients and their families.

Position Responsibilities

·         Accurately obtain and document patient information; ensure completion of forms and consents.

·         Coordinate referrals and arrange laboratory services as needed.

·         Prepare patients for examination, record vital signs, and document medical histories.

·         Administer medications and injections; collect specimens and perform routine tests.

·         Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment; sterilize instruments as required.

·         Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments.

·         Manage and monitor inventory of medical supplies, ensuring exam rooms are properly equipped.

·         Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system; GRITS experience preferred.

Qualifications

·         High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program strongly preferred.

·         Prior pediatric experience is advantageous but not required.

·         Proficiency with electronic medical records systems.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.

·         Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

·         Knowledge of patient care protocols, clinical procedures, and medical office practices.

·         Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
