Job Name: Medical Assistant Location: Frisco, TX 75033 Duration: 3 months Contract: Possibility of extension Pay Rate: $20-23/hour (on W2) Pay Rate is based on experience Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm depending on clinic needs
Job Responsibilities
• Perform clinical duties within Medical Assistant scope of practice in accordance with policies and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO). • Operate diagnostic equipment and perform procedures without interpreting test results. • Remove superficial wound staples, change dressings, obtain cultures, and administer non-intravenous medications as directed. • Collect specimens via non-invasive methods and obtain blood samples through venipuncture or capillary puncture, perform EKGs. • Conduct quality control checks and prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and equipment using an autoclave. • Room patients per protocol, prepare them for examination, and document care accurately and promptly in the medical record. • Coordinate patient care activities as directed by physicians and in alignment with company standards. • Maintain exam and treatment rooms by cleaning, stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and following infection control precautions. • Perform patient intake, phone, and in-person limited to information gathering, maintain confidentiality, and provide courteous patient service.
Qualifications
• High school or GED or equivalent • Current Medical Assistant Certification, Registration, or ability to obtain within 120 days • Current BLS certification • Phlebotomy experience and bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
