Eldersburg Arthritis, a busy rheumatology office located in Carroll County, is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to become an integral part of our dedicated healthcare team. We offer a supportive and pleasant working environment, where patient care is our top priority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-authorization of medications and checking lab work.
- Sending prescriptions and communicating lab results with patients.
- Taking vital signs and preparing exam rooms for patient visits.
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing patient flow.
- Performing blood draws and other clinical duties as needed.
- Assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in rheumatology setting.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and strong computer skills.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy office environment.
- On-site training specific to our practice will be provided.
