Medical Assistant – Full-Time (M–F, 8 AM–5 PM)

Location: Denton, TX 76201 

Work Setting: Outpatient clinic 

Rate: $20.00 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA/RMA) to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and is committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will perform a wide range of clinical and administrative duties within the MA scope of practice, including:

Clinical Support & Patient Care

• Perform all responsibilities within the certified Medical Assistant scope of practice.

• Support physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and nurses during patient care activities.

• Prepare and organize exam rooms and maintain a clean, efficient clinical environment.

• Assist with patient intake, vital signs, and documentation.

Procedures & Diagnostic Support

• Perform patient‑oriented procedures and administer medications as permitted under MA scope.

• Operate diagnostic equipment (without interpreting results).

• Conduct EKGs, collect specimens (noninvasive and via venipuncture/capillary), and obtain cultures.

• Remove staples from superficial wounds and change wound dressings.

• Perform quality control checks on clinical equipment.

• Prepare and sterilize medical instruments using an autoclave.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA or RMA) – required.

• BLS certification at time of hire.

• Basic computer literacy with intermediate Excel skills.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Schedule & Work Details

• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Days: Monday through Friday

• Travel: No travel required; no multi‑site rotation.

• Home Visits: None

• Dress Code: Navy blue or grey scrubs
